Radio

The receiver I'm currently using is quite old (date?) and was sold in kit form, which was built by a Mr John Collins

It was sold in kit form by a company called CirKit whom I believe are no longer around

It uses seperate Crystals for each frequency

I used this for a few years when I got it and it has been gathering dust after the house move...till now

Unfortunately since I last used it some of the old sats had been decomissioned and a new sat had been laumched
This meant I would have to get hold of a new Crystal to cover the new frequency, and I had no info as to the circuitry or what was required other than the freqency I wanted..

A plea for help was very quickly answrerd on the Yahoo Groups and in stepped Barry (G4IAT) with a very generous offer of not only the exact crystal I required, but details of how to get the readio to scan for the next sat and a whole load of other stuff, Thanks once again Barry, If your reading this you'll see that I'm now getting NOAA18!!!
