PicoKeyer

I bought a PicoKeyer from N0XAS last year - mainly as soldering practice and as a practice oscilator for my DIY paddles

What an excelent piece of kit this is !!!

Its unbelievably small and I managed to squeeze it into an old "Maxim sample component box" Not sure if its name derives from it being a Pic chip or the fact that it is sooo small....don't think that anyone would have problems finding room in even the smallest of rigs to place it

Battery life from the 2032 3v coin cell has been unbelievable!!!!

If your after a keyer I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this one

If you look on the N0XAS site you'll see that the chip has recently been upgraded - and will enable you to now hook it up to an FM rig !!!!

Now if only it could improve my CW RX speed....:-)

Antennas and spot the squirrel

5-11-05

Oh no another project appears on the horizon!!

OK as I have limited space to put antennas up

and I'm kind of happy with the Moonraker Log periodic

I need to cover both vertical and horizontal polarisation

I am a tinkerer - and too tight to buy another antenna that will cover 6,4,2m and 70 cm

How about a device that changes the polarisation ot the antenna??
